LG washing machine repair in Riyadh
LG is known for a direct drive motor that lasts — but the pump, the sensors and the door lock are still the faults we see most.
What sets LG apart is that the motor drives the drum directly, with no belt, which cuts out a whole class of mechanical faults. The result is that most LG calls are not about the motor at all, but about what surrounds it: the pump, the water level sensor and the door lock.
The code we see most is OE, water not draining. Most of those are a blocked pump filter that clears in minutes with nothing replaced. We will tell you that plainly, even when it means a smaller job for us.
What you'll notice
- OE — water is not draining at the end of the cycle
- IE — the machine will not fill, or fills very slowly
- UE — the load is unbalanced and the spin never completes
- dE — the door will not lock, so the cycle never starts
- LE — the motor is stalled or overloaded
- PE — an implausible reading from the water level sensor
Common causes
- A blocked pump filter — the first thing to check on an OE
- Scale and weak water pressure at the inlet filter, which brings up IE
- The electric door lock wearing out, especially with heavy daily use
- The pressure hose to the level sensor loose or clogged with detergent
How we fix it
- 1We open and check the pump filter first — plenty of jobs end right there
- 2We test the pump and the valve electrically before condemning any part
- 3We check the direct drive and the sensors if the code is LE or PE
- 4We order the part matched to your LG model number and fit it
- 5A full cycle with you watching, then a written warranty on part and labour
Questions about this repair
Often yes. Unplug it, put a towel under the small filter in the bottom corner, open it and clear the hair and lint. If the code comes back after that, it is usually the pump itself or a blockage further down the outlet.
It depends on the fault. A hall sensor or a cable can be replaced on its own for a sensible price. If the winding itself has failed, replacement makes more sense. We test it and show you the cost difference before you decide.
A very small load is hard for the machine to balance, and one heavy item like a blanket does the same. If the feet are not level it will keep happening whatever the load. We level the machine as part of the visit.
